For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Mint in the Box Parker Centennial Duofold Fountain Pen in Lapis Lazuli. This fountain pen has seen very little use and always contained in the box from a non-smoking home. I consider this pen in Mint Condition in the original box.

The barrel and cap are gorgeous with beautiful color, perfectly gold-plated cap clip and banding. There are absolutely no nicks, chips, cracks or repairs.

The threads on the cap and barrel are excellent with the cap always securing tightly. There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. This Parker Duofold is a Centennial Size that measures 5 3/8" inches in length capped and 6 7/8" posted.

The Parker Duofold 18K Solid Gold Nib is Platinum Plated and is marked "M" on the back of the feed for a medium line/stroke. This Parker Duofold has a date code stamped of IY for 1996 in the 3rd Quarter date code on the butt-end side of the barrel. Also, the area is stamped with Parker and Made in U.K.

This Parker NIB is a PARKER 18K/750 Gold with a Medium point. The 2-tone NIB is in fantastic condition and writes so smooth! The actual writing portion (iridium) of the Parker NIB measures roughly .86mm when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample with this NIB, it writes with .60mm medium stroke and can flex to roughly .96mm broad stroke with medium pressure when measuring with digital calipers. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Montblanc Blue Ink.
